Elias Wondimu, a human rights activist, a social entrepreneur, and an exiled journalist from Ethiopia, has institutionalized his activism and played pivotal roles in the larger community by establishing publishing houses, international journals, annual academic conferences, a nonviolence institute and a community foundation. In the last decade at LMU, Wondimu has brought together many scholars and public intellectuals from multidisciplinary academic and diverse political backgrounds to collaborate on projects of national and international significance. Wondimu works at the Marymount Institute where he is the publisher and editorial director of TSEHAI Publishers and its imprints (Marymount Institute Press, Harriet Tubman Press, African Academic Press and Chereka Books).
