Embodied experience is the centerpiece of our personal narrative. It is the essence of life, love, spirit and presence.

Every body part has a story, a connection, a challenge, a victory -- a place in the tapestry of our identity. They carry all that has brought us to where we are today. When shared, Body Stories break down barriers of separation and isolation. These are stories of culture, faith, relationship, sexual orientation, health, family, community and more. They travel with us and shape our experience wherever we go. These stories have enormous power over the lens through which we experience our world, sometimes without our even knowing it.

What would it be like to experience an inquisitive alchemical process utilizing a synthesis of mindfulness, somatic, and movement practice including: movement/theatre/sound improvisation, creative writing, mindfulness meditation, mind mapping, autobiography, group drumming and community? What if this process could lead us towards greater local and global experience of understanding, expression and empathy?

These are the questions that will provide the seeds for our workshop together in the study of Yoga Mindfulness and Social Change.
