Come out to the first Mid-Autumn Moon Festival hosted by Han Tao and APSS. There will be a smorgasbord of cultural dishes from LMU's gamut of Asian/Pacific-Islander organizations and activity such as lantern making. This event is open to all LMU students!
This annual program is a harvest festival that celebrates a full moon. This event is celebrated by Asian and Pacific Islander cultures. The festival celebrates three fundamental concepts which are closely tied to one another: gathering, such as family and friends coming together; thanksgiving, to give thanks for the harvest, or for harmonious unions; praying (asking for conceptual or material satisfaction), such as for babies, a spouse, beauty, longevity, or for a good future.
