Hanbok is the traditional dress of Korea. These elegant garments are now worn during traditional festivals and celebrations, and are characterized by subtle colors, simple lines, and dramatic movement. Experts from the Hanbok Advancement Center in South Korea will present a program involving a lecture on the aesthetics of hanbok with a Korean scholar, a Hanbok making/sewing workshop with a master artisan, and a demonstration on how to wear hanbok. Reception to follow.
