The Material Culture of War: Highlights from the Lawrence Tritle Collection

Stop by the William H. Hannon Library for a sneak peek at our newest acquisition, part of a gift from LMU Professor of History Lawrence Tritle. The materials donated to the William H. Hannon Library include items from World War II (and some from World War I): trench art, photographs, newspapers, artifacts, patches, and documents.

As part of Alumni Weekend and in honor of Dr. Tritle's retirement, we will have select items on public display inside our Archives & Special Collections reading room (level 3). Head of Special Collections, Cynthia Becht, will be on hand to answer your questions about the collection and its future as a tool for research and learning here at LMU.
