orimotor Art Therapy\n\n \n\nMemories are commonly associated with autobiog
raphical events. However\, such remembered stories represent only the tip o
f the iceberg. Implicit memories held in the body dominate the first prever
bal years of life and all traumatic events. Clay Field Therapy offers a uni
que option to connect with the haptic developmental building blocks that sh
ape the physiological identity in children. The workshop will focus on touc
h explorations of the implicit memory systems. In the therapeutic environme
nt at the Clay Field these can foster new sensorimotor experiences that enh
ance self-esteem\, empowerment\, and restoration of developmental deficits.

s combined with practices from contemplative traditions\, opportunities eme
rge to embrace adversity and discover personal resiliency and self-compassi
on. For example\, meditation trains us to become the witness of our thought
s while art allows us to manifest and see the content of our thoughts. In t
his presentation and studio workshop\, we will learn about meditation\, emp
athy\, and self-compassion techniques for mixing thoughts with space in ord
er to remain present with challenging beliefs and sore places within.\n\nTh
