5th Annual Leavey Presidential Chair Lecture: “50 Years After the East L.A. Walk-outs: Lessons for Social Justice Educators”

The lecture will feature scholars and activists who were involved with the East L.A. student walk-outs in 1968 or whose scholarship examines key dimensions of the context, experience, or continuing impact of this powerful historical moment of youth organizing and movement work in Los Angeles on the education of Chicana/o students.

Hosted by the Loyola Marymount University Leavey Presidential Chair, the School of Education Office of the Dean, and the Doctoral Program in Educational Leadership for Social Justice.
