The Classics and Archaeology department is hosting our 3rd Annual Meet and Greet & Alumni Event. CLAR alumni Alyssa Arredondo ('11) and Dan Priore ('11) will provide insight into their journey beyond LMU and how a degree in the study of antiquity shaped their life and career.

Dan Priore ('11) graduated from LMU with a Bachelors degree cum laude in Classical Civilizations and a Minor in Ancient Mediterranean and Near Eastern Archaeology. He also received a Masters degree in Library and Information Science with a concentration in Archival Studies through Drexel University.

Dan has since worked as a Librarian and Educator at various institutions including at the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum and the Natural History Museum in Los Angeles, where he currently works as a Museum Educator.

Alyssa Arredondo ('11) graduated Loyola Marymount University in 2011, majoring in History and minoring in Archaeology, specializing in the Ancient Near East.

Alyssa joined the Natural History Museums of Los Angeles County in 2016 as a part of the Special Events team and in 2022, she transitioned to the Major & Planned Gifts team. Currently as a Major Gifts Manager, she oversees the processes that support major, planned, and campaign giving. Alyssa plays a key role in coordinating cross-departmental efforts, managing Advancement events and donor portfolios, and fostering meaningful relationships with donors across the Museums.
