Beyond Digital Citizenship Seminar

"Beyond Digital Citizenship" will address legal, professional and pedagogical issues associated with social media in K-12 and higher education.

Topics will include: the law governing cyberbullying and other social media concerns; issues of privacy; cyberbaiting and professional conduct online; and teaching digital citizenship in alignment with K-12 common core standards.

Speakers will include:
Lori Getz, M.Ed., instruction technologist and Internet safety specialist;
Martha McCarthy, Ph.D., President's Professor of Education at LMU;
Kerry Brian Melear, Ph.D., professor at the University of Mississippi;
Casey Sarantos, M.Ed., educator and adolescent wellness specialist.
