About this Event
Former Director of National Science Foundation (NSF), France A. Córdova is speaking at LMU through BUILD! She has been a leader in science, engineering and education for more than three decades. She has a distinguished career in both higher education and government. Córdova was the first female and youngest Chief Scientist of NASA, the president of Purdue University, chancellor of the University of California, Riverside, chair of the Board of Regents of the Smithsonian Institution and on the board of trustees of Mayo Clinic, and a member of the National Science Board (NSB). Come learn from this amazing glass-ceiling breaker! We will ask her questions about being a woman in leadership as well as about her experience in her many fields.
