The LMU Center for Urban Resilience, in partnership with TreePeople and the Gateway Cities Council of Governments, is working with the City of Lynwood to determine priority locations for planting trees. This prioritization will combine our recent LA County tree canopy mapping data as well as the input of Lynwood residents and other community members.

By taking the Lynwood Tree Survey, the community will have the chance to vote on which benefits of trees are most important to them. The survey results will be used to create a map of where future trees should be planted, starting with 1,000 trees that will be planted along city parkways.

The Lynwood community is invited to attend one of the virtual tree summits being held on December 10 and 12, 2020 to take part in the project (and have the opportunity to get a free fruit tree from TreePeople!). The survey will go live at that time.
