Join us for an open lecture on contemporary Greek music and dance by Prof. Alexandros Kyriakidis part of the seminar: Modern Greek History and Society.

There will be live performances of Greek music and dance, including songs by Giorgos Ntalaras, Stratos Dionysiou, Sotiria Mpellou, Giannis Parios, Haris Alexiou, and Pyx Lax, as well as the dances of Zeibekiko, Hasapiko/Sirtaki, Kalamatiano, and Hasaposerviko.

The event will include a brief overview of contemporary Greek music and dance, as well as short dancing tutorials with plenty of opportunities for anyone wishing to actively participate!
