About this Event
1 LMU Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90045
Professor at UCLA and developmental social psychologist Dr. Sandra Graham describes her research on feelings of belonging in school, and how these feelings are related to psychosocial adjustment. Dr. Graham focuses her work on an ethnically diverse population of students to bring to light the important role that racial and ethnic context variables play in shaping one's sense of belonging. Her research frames the study of ethnic and racial diversity as a fluid and dynamic construct that has previously been understudied.
There will be a reception before the event 1:30-2:00 pm next to McIntosh (UHall 3999) in the adjoining 3rd-floor skyway.
The lecture will be from 2:00-3:15 pm, with a Q&A with Dr. Graham from 3:15-3:45 pm.
