Students and alumni are invited to learn more about fellowships that fund graduate study abroad.

This info session will familiarize you with the different awards, application processes, and best practices for constructing competitive applications. Students of all majors are encouraged to attend. We recommend attendees have a minimum GPA of 3.5.

Fellowships covered include:

  • Fulbright Study Awards fund graduate degrees in over 30 host countries listed in the study category, as long their proposal falls within the parameters of the award. Must be a U.S. citzen to apply.
  • Gates Cambridge Scholarships are prestigious, highly competitive full-cost scholarships awarded to outstanding applicants from countries outside the UK to pursue a full-time postgraduate degree in any subject available at the University of Cambridge.
  • Marshall Scholarships finance young Americans of high ability to study for a graduate degree in the United Kingdom. Up to 42 Scholars are selected each year to study at the graduate level at a UK institution in any field of study. Applicants must have a minimum 3.7 cumulative GPA to apply.
  • McCall MacBain Scholarships are full or partial scholarships covering tuition and fees for the full normal duration of an eligible master’s or professional program (150+ options) at McGill University, a one-time relocation grant to Montreal, a living stipend during academic terms, mentorship, and a leadership development curriculum.
  • Rhodes Scholarships are postgraduate awards supporting outstanding all-round students at the University of Oxford, and providing transformative opportunities for exceptional individuals. No citizenship requirements.
  • Schwarzman Scholarships supports up to 200 Scholars annually from the U.S., China, and around the world for a one-year master’s in global affairs at Beijing’s Tsinghua University — ranked first in Asia as an indispensable base for China’s political, business, and technological leadership.


This event is open to all LMU undergraduates, graduate students, and alumni, including international students.
