Update from ONIF 2/6/24: The Voyager Scholarship application has officially opened. This event has been moved to February 14, 2024. Please register for this event via the Zoom link and complete the Voyager Scholarship Interest Form.

-------

The Voyager Scholarship awards up to 100 scholarships for students pursuing careers in public service. Public service can include careers in government, non-profit, or the private sector, ranging from teachers, community organizers, social workers, entrepreneurs with ideas for socially impactful businesses, journalism, arts, and design — a range of fields through which people are committed to creating a more connected, just, and equitable world.

At this workshop, students will:

  • Engage the brainstorming process for the content of the short answer questions
  • Begin rough drafts for their Voyager applications

Eligibility:

  • Must be second semester sophomore in Spring 2024; must be enrolled full-time as a first-semester junior in Fall 2024. Academic standing is determined by credits at LMU.
  • Minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0
  • Demonstrated commitment to public service
  • Demonstrated financial need
  • Open to U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, or DACA recipients

ONIF is dedicated to providing access to workshops, info sessions, advisement, and course materials for all individuals with visible and invisible disabilities. We will uphold a commitment to creating an inclusive environment for fellowships, regardless of whether your disability is registered and documented with Disability Support Services at LMU or not.

ONIF will always have closed captioning available for pre-recorded videos or Zoom events. Please communicate with ONIF staff if you need other accommodations such as amplified audio or wheelchair/mobility device access for in-person events. Please inform ONIF staff if you utilize assistive computer technology such as screen readers, need a version of course materials that does not rely on color-perception, or need large font versions of course materials.
