Chat with the Pickering Fellowship Director!

Attend a 25-minute (or less) chat with the Director of the Thomas R. Pickering Foreign Affairs Program, Dr. Lily López-McGee, Ph.D. Appointments are available on August 28, between 10:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Dr. López-McGee will be on campus to promote the Rangel, Pickering, and Payne fellowships- all of which provide graduate school funding and a pathway into the U.S. Foreign Service*.

  • Payne fellowships support students interested in careers in the Foreign Service of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and provide up to $96K for graduate study.
  • Pickering and Rangel fellowships prepare outstanding young people for careers in the Foreign Service of the U.S. Department of State, and provide up to $37K annually for graduate study.
  • The Rangel International Affairs Summer Enrichment Program is a six-week, fully-funded summer program designed to provide sophomores and juniors with a deeper appreciation of current issues and trends in international affairs, a greater understanding of career opportunities in international affairs, and the enhanced knowledge and skills to pursue such careers.

For students familiar with these awards, Dr. López-McGee will provide strategic application advice and tips.
