Presented by the 2024-25 Bellarmine Forum, this talk will focus on "How America Votes." The United States is a deeply divided nation. Not since the Civil War has there been such hyper-partisan and tribal division. The voting gaps exhibited by various groups in American society reflect this division. This lecture will examine how Americans vote by breaking down voting groups into various categories and groupings. We will see how the United States is becoming "two nations" and how conflict rather than cooperation is the hallmark of our era of slash and burn politics.

Speaker
Michael A. Genovese, Professor of Political Science and International Relations, President of Global Policy Institute at LMU, Loyola Chair of Leadership Studies, Director of Institute for Leadership Studies
