International Education Week (IEW), November 16-22, 2020, is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. This joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education promotes programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences.

Although international education and exchanges have been impacted by the COVID-19 health pandemic, the U.S. Department of State and Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs remain committed to promoting the benefits of international education and exchanges and encouraging students to study abroad when it is safe again.
