Why do we need human thinking, reading, writing, imagining, and art? Scholars from outside the United States and those whose work brings global perspectives offer a refreshing reappraisal of why the humanities help us understand our past and respond to the converging crises of our current moment. In this moment of technological, political, cultural, and social upheaval, hear from internationally acclaimed Trinity College (Dublin, Ireland) historian Professor Jane Ohlmeyer and fellow panelists and LMU Professors Elizabeth Drummond, Kweku John, and Brian Treanor about why centering human experience is so important.

Reception to follow. All are welcome.
