The University Community is warmly invited to participate in the church-wide response to Pope Francis' call to celebrate this special Jubilee Year by reflecting on the theme of Divine Mercy.
Bishop Gordon Bennett, S.J. will offer the following lectures:
February 17: "Mercy: The Name of God"
February 24: "Mercy: Why we Need it and Why God wants to Bestow it"
March 16: "Mercy: Attending to the Needs of the Neighbor"
March 30: "Mercy: My Vocation as a Christian"
The Most Rev. Gordon Bennett, S.J. is the Peter Faber, S.J. Fellow in Pastoral Theology and Ignatian Spirituality at Loyola Marymount University. One of the few African-American bishops of the United States, Bishop Bennett has served as Auxiliary to the Archbishop of Baltimore and later as Diocesan Bishop of Mandeville, Jamaica.
