In 1968, while attending San Francisco State, Judy Juanita served as editor-in-chief of The Black Panther, the newspaper of the Black Panther Party. This experience shaped her as a black activist and self-described “feminist foot soldier.” She is also an acclaimed playwright, poet, novelist, and professor at Laney College. Gail Wronsky, Professor of English at LMU, will moderate a panel discussion with Juanita.

A powerful and timely talk by an icon who addressed important socio-political matters in a manner the student audience could both relate to and be inspired by. The event was graciously moderated by Professor Wronsky.
