The Coelho Center for Disability Law, Policy & Innovation and The Youth Justice Education Clinic invite you to join us virtually to hear from candidates running for LAUSD school board positions in districts 3 & 7!

They will speak on issues that include: school police, prop 15, special education and COVID-19. questions will also be open for the public to ask.

User Activity

Two of the candidates did not attend most likely because they feared the event would be biased. When one of the questioners was from the school Koziatek works at and another actually endorsed the two candidates who attended, this fear seems well founded.

Was pleasantly surprised that a probing question was asked about the lack of representation of students with special education needs in charter schools. Unfortuately, neither candidate really answered the question and the moderators did not press them on their lack of an answer.
