The Center for Urban Resilience and the CSJ Center for Reconciliation and Justice, along with the Biology Department, will be hosting a talk by Dr. Eric Wood from Cal State LA. The work of his team has been very impactful in the analysis of social and biological drivers of change in urban landscapes and brings into focus the sprawling impacts of social injustice.  It resonates strongly with the Pope’s Laudato Si encyclical and our initiative here at LMU.

Dr. Wood is starting a new center for urban ecology at Cal State LA and is actively recruiting collaborations with faculty and students. This a great opportunity to meet Dr. Wood and to explore the interdisciplinarity of studying urban landscapes. A reception will follow the lecture.
