The music salon is "…a gathering of people under the roof of an inspiring host, held partly to refine the taste and increase the knowledge of the participants through music and conversation. These gatherings consciously aim to please and to educate.” 

While we cannot gather under a roof, Loyola Law School will host a Jazz Salon next Tuesday, March 8.  This Jazz Salon will feature the music of innovative pianist and composer Robert Glasper. A member of an exciting generation of jazz artists, Glasper brings a unique perspective to his playing and compositions. His music combines elements of jazz, hip hop and R&B, resulting in an invigorating musical brew that has garnered four Grammy Awards and numerous other Grammy nominations.   

This Jazz Salon will be co-hosted by Folashade Akinola and Gary Williams. Staff, faculty, and guests, we hope you will join this gathering of our community. It promises to provide a soothing escape from today’s news, and the stress of study and work.
