The William H. Hannon Library's eight annual LMU Speaks program will feature true stories from individuals representing the LMU campus community. We have asked each of our speakers to share a true, personal story based on a central theme, "As I Was Saying.” Speakers will tell a 10-minute story that responds the prompt:

"We are never going back to the world as we knew it pre-2020, but that doesn't mean we can't pick up where we left off. Where was I? What were we talking about? Oh yes, as I was saying... This year's LMU Speaks will explore the conversations we want to revisit, the threads we want to pick up, and all the things we shouldn't have left behind."

Our line-up includes:

  • Magaela Bethune
  • Crista Copp
  • Xitlali Garcia
  • Kawanna Leggett
  • Brandon McKinney

The William H. Hannon Library is dedicated to creating a communal space where learners can feed their curiosity, experience new worlds, develop their ideas, inform their decision-making, and inspire others. We believe that storytelling can be a vehicle toward those ends. We hope you will join us for this event!
