The William H. Hannon Library's sixth annual LMU Speaks program will feature true stories from 5 individuals representing the LMU campus community. We have asked each of our speakers to share a true, personal story based on a central theme, "Crisis Averted.” Speakers will tell a 10-minute story that responds the prompt:

"Tell us a story about a time in your life when catastrophe reared its ugly head—a deadlock, a dilemma, a drama of improbable proportions—and yet against the odds, you turned things around: “Crisis Averted!” Tell us the story as only you can tell it."

Our line-up includes:

  • Amber Bliss (Graduate Student)
  • Lizbeth Ramales Arango (Undergraduate Student)
  • Mitch Hamilton (College of Business Administration)
  • Y. Katleen Saturné (Campus Business Services)
  • John Sebastian (Mission and Ministry)

The William H. Hannon Library is dedicated to creating a communal space where learners can feed their curiosity, experience new worlds, develop their ideas, inform their decision-making, and inspire others. We believe that storytelling can be a vehicle toward those ends. We hope you will join us for this event!
