Please join us for this evening celebration in recognition of our students completing their professional studies with the LMU Center for Religion & Spirituality.
The Most Reverend José H. Gómez, Archbishop of Los Angeles, will preside at ceremony, and Dr. John T. Sebastian, Vice President of Mission and Ministry at LMU, will award the certificates of completion. We are also pleased to welcome the Most Reverend Thanh Thai Nguyen, Auxiliary Bishop of Orange, and Reverend Allan Figueroa Deck, S.J., Rector of the LMU Jesuit Community, who will celebrate with us. A reception will follow in the garden.
This event is free and open to the public. Family, friends, pastoral ministers and clergy are encouraged to attend.
Please plan arriving early to allow enough time to park and walk to the chapel. Campus parking fees will apply. For parking information (including lot location), please visit lmu.edu/parking. Photography (no flash) and videography are welcome, but may not distrupt the ceremony or block aisles and entryways. Food, drink, balloons and noise-making devices are not permitted in the chapel. The chapel is wheelchair accessible via the west entrance.
Graduates participating in the ceremony are asked to arrive no later than 7:00 p.m. for ceremony instructions. Again, please plan to arrive early to park and walk to the Chapel. There is no assigned seating; graduates are welcome to sit with their peers and families.
Certificate applications must be filed within a week of your last class meeting. If you have any academic or financial holds, please contact LMU Extension at (310) 338-1971 to resolve such matters prior to the ceremony. Students who have not filed for a certificate or do not qualify academically, will not be able to participate.
