Participants will gather at InsightLA's beautiful retreat center in Benedict Canyon and spend the afternoon in a quiet, natural setting, where we will delve into practices exploring the elements of earth, water, fire, air and space. Participants will have time for meditation and quiet, simple asana/embodiment, discussion, journaling and rest. The intention is to offer some new ways of exploring the elements and our relationship to them that can be nourishing and supportive personally as well as to the work we do in the world.
Much of our exploration will be sourced from ancient Yogic and Buddhist texts and a recognition of the power of our connection to the natural world and by extension, to all. We will spend the afternoon outside so please come prepared with layers of clothing, (it could be hot or cool), hat, sunscreen, bug spray, water, snacks, a blanket to sit on and small beach chair or cushion, if you like. The day is intended to be restful and deeply nourishing.
Online registration is open (click Buy Tickets button). In the event the workshop is canceled, participants will be notified by Wednesday, the week of the workshop. Registration fees are refunded only if the workshop is canceled; no refund for partial attendance or no-show.
