#LMULifeLongLearner
The Center for Religion & Spirituality invites you to this public Yoga, Mindfulness and Social Change workshop with LMU's 2018 Himalayan Yoga Scholar-in-Residence, Dr. Stephen (Stoma) Parker.
This workshop will focus on the central role of mindful awareness on human development as a basis for social change. This will entail bringing together the philosophy of mind of Pātañjala yoga with contemporary neuroscience, particularly the interpersonal neurobiology of Daniel Siegel, M.D.
In the second part of the workshop, we will do a practice yoga nidra from the teaching of Swami Rama of the Himalayas and Swami Veda Bharati the can provide one with a very pure experience of that awareness in a state of conscious deep sleep.
