The Center for Religion & Spirituality is pleased to once again sponsor and host the Film Showcase at the Los Angeles Religious Education Congress.

The annual Congress Film Showcase is an evening forum for the exhibition and discussion of cinematic work rooted in Catholic social teaching, intellectual, spiritual and narrative traditions. Join us for an evening of exceptional films and documentaries, discussion with filmmakers, and exploration of cinematic media as both reflection and critique of the human experience.

The 2019 Congress Film Showcase is sponsored by the Center, with generous support from the LMU School of Film & Television, Catholics in Media Associates (CIMA), and Family Theater Productions.

About the Religious Education Congress
The Los Angeles Religious Education Congress is the largest annual gathering of its kind in the world. The four-day event is held at the Anaheim Convention Center and is sponsored by the Archdiocese of Los Angeles Office of Religious Education. Begun in 1968 as an "institute" for religious education teachers, Congress has grown to include people of all vocations and different faiths, and offers more than 200 speakers presenting over 300 workshops, in addition to lunchtime entertainment, evening concerts, 16 liturgies in a variety of characters, the Exhibit Hall and much more.
