Interested in a career as a Yoga therapist or incorporating therapeutic principles in your Yoga class? Then consider enrolling in the Yoga Therapy Rx certificate program or 300-hour Teacher Training this Fall at LMU. Prospective students are invited to attend one or any of the open houses this summer to learn more about the Yoga Therapy Program at LMU. Instructors will also review IAYT Certification.
About the Program
Yoga Therapy is a synthesis of the ageless wisdom from the East with the most recent knowledge in complementary health from the West. Yoga therapists prescribe specific regimens of postures, breathing exercises, and relaxation techniques to suit individual needs. Yoga therapy can be a means to manage illness or facilitate healing. The basic program (level 1) will focus on the musculoskeletal system. Classes will address principles of practice, anatomy for yoga teachers, the origin and treatment of common low back, upper back, knee and hip problems.
This open house is free and open to the public, RSVP is requested (click Register button).
