Workshop: "Mindful Communication" with Maureen Shannon-Chapple
This workshop will explore the intersection between mindfulness practice and social justice work, with special attention to developing mindful communication skills. How do we effectively communicate, especially in conflict situations, in a way that reflects the values and insights nurtured in the quiet of meditation? How do we express the practice in active, socially engaged contexts? Guided practice periods and communication exercises will be included as ways to inspire our own responses to these important questions.
Registration is open online (click Buy Tickets button). In the event the workshop is canceled, participants will be notified by Wednesday, the week of the workshop. Registration fees are refunded only if the workshop is canceled; no refund for partial attendance or no-show. For further information, please call the Center for Religion and Spirituality at 310-338-2799 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
