DESCRIPTION:Referred to as the father of modern Yoga and credited with the 
 revival of Hatha Yoga\, Sri T. Krishnamacharya (1888–1989) was an Indian yo
 ga teacher\, Ayurvedic healer and scholar\, and is widely regarded as one o
 f the most influential teachers of the 20th Century. Some of his students i
 nclude many of today’s most renowned Yoga teachers: B.K.S. Iyengar\, T.K.V.
  Desikachar\, Pattabhi Jois\, and Srivatsa Ramaswami\, Krishnamacharya’s lo
 ngest-standing student outside his own family.\n\nAt Loyola Marymount Unive
 rsity\, Srivatsa Ramaswami presents his master’s teachings at the annual Vi
 nyasa Krama Yoga Summer Institute at the Center for Religion and Spirituali
 ty. This annual institute is open to the public\, and traditionally meets o
 n the main (Westchester) campus of the university in Los Angeles. However\,
  due to pandemic restrictions\, the institute will be held virutally this y
 ear.\n\nJuly 30-August 7\, 2020\nAt this year's Institute\, Srivatsa Ramasw
 ami will teach an online course on Yoga-Yajñavalkya\, one of the important 
 yoga texts Krsihnamacharya taught. Yoga-Yajñavalkya gives information of yo
 ga not found in the other texts and hence this adds to the knowledge base o
 f yogis. It is more than 500 verses and is in the form of a dialogue betwee
 n the sage and his spouse Gargi. It is considered to be leading to Vedanta 
 from classical yoga of Patanjali. Information about all the angas\, then th
 e important nadis\, about Kundalini are all unique in this text. For detail
