  Speaker Andrea Armstrong\, is a 2023 MacArthur Fellow and the Dr. Norman C
 . Francis Distinguished Professor at Loyola University New Orleans\, Colleg
 e of Law\, where she teaches incarceration law\, constitutional law\, crimi
 nal procedure\, and race and the law.  Her interdisciplinary research focus
 es on the constitutional dimensions of conditions of confinement.  Prof. Ar
 mstrong founded IncarcerationTransparency.org\, a database and website that
  documents and memorializes deaths behind bars in Louisiana and supports si
 milar efforts across the United States.  She has testified before Congress 
 on carceral mortality and forced prison labor.  Her research has also been 
 profiled by New Yorker Magazine\, and has appeared in the Atlantic\, Harvar
 d Civil Rights-Civil Liberties Law Review\, the New York Times\, and Stanfo
 rd Law & Policy Review\, among others.  \nReception to follow with light re
