About this Event
Sponsored by the Yale Forum on Religion and Ecology, this talk will highlight some of the inspiration of Pierre Teilhard de Chardin and Thomas Berry toward an integral ecology in Pope Francis’ encyclical, Laudato Si. We will draw on Teilhard’s evolutionary spirituality and Berry’s views of an ecological spirituality to highlight how these perspectives provide a basis for environmental care and social justice for our Earth community.
Speakers are John Grim and Mary Evelyn Tucker. Mary Evelyn Tucker and John Grim are co-directors of the Yale Forum on Religion and Ecology. They are affiliated faculty with the Yale Center for Environmental Justice at the Yale School of the Environment.
