About the Program
Mantener el Camino is a mentoring program designed to accompany students on their journey toward the goal of pursuing an academic career at a community college, managing to transfer to a university.

  • Offers two courses at LMU that are transferable to a community college forassociate degree credit (we are working with Los Angeles Trade TechnicalCollege); these LMU courses are offered in a dual language fashion (English/Spanish); and are taught as an on-line class.
  • After this first semester where they take two courses, students will enroll in acommunity college where all courses they take will be taught in English. We will support you until you reach your academic goal. The support offeredincludes mentoring, orientations, tutoring, and there is a small fund for non-academic emergencies.

This program is a gateway to help you earn the academic degree that will prepare you to give a better service in the Church.
