About this Event
Marymount Institute presents “Music at Marymount” concert series...Part 2
The Marymount Institute for Faith, Culture, and the Arts, in collaboration with The LMU Department of Music, will offer its free Music at Marymount series, with LMU's own Ken Aiso* on violin and Valeria Morgovskaya* on piano. This second concert of the series for the 2025 spring semester will include works by William Grant Still in honor of Black History Month, the 2nd and 3rd movements of the Brahms 2nd sonata, and two Republic of Georgia composers, Meri Davitashvili’s Poema and Vazha Azarashvili’s Nocturne (one female and one male composer, respectively).
Each concert in the series will be in the beautiful Marymount Institute lounge, followed by a light reception.
During this time of uncertainty and challenge, please take this moment to relax, enjoy, and rejuvenate. All are welcome!
* They will also be instructing/playing at the Montecito International Music Festival this summer, and encourage young artists to apply (scholarships available).
