The William H. Hannon Library's Spring 2018 Archives and Special Collections Exhibition features works created by undergraduate students in several semesters of the theology course “Meeting Christ in Faith & Art.” Under the guidance of Dr. Cecilia González-Andrieu (Associate Professor of Theological Studies), the students examined Christology and explored art-making in conversation with earlier traditions, some from master artists in the library's permanent collection and some with new forms like street art and film. Through their art, the students attempt to pass along the tradition of a living Christ while wrestling with what he means to them in their contexts. These works invite us to experience the wonderment of their art-making and to share in the renewal and discovery of Jesus Christ’s transforming aliveness here, today and made present with us.
