The Open & Affordable Textbook Initiative faculty development grant:
In 2021-2022, the OATI grant will recognize up to ten faculty (or project teams) with awards ranging from $1000 to $10,000 based on the scope and scale of the project proposed, the cost-savings, the number of students impacted, and potential “shareability” of the revised syllabus and/or resource created. Individual and team submissions are encouraged.
Any faculty interested in applying for the grant (application deadline February 9), or those interested in simply learning more about options for affordable and open course materials, are encouraged to attend.
At this CTE session, Jamie Hazlitt (Collection Development Librarian, OATI grant coordinator) will give a brief overview of the Open & Affordable Textbook Initiative and the work that led to the development of this grant, discuss grant requirements and available resources to support applicants, and share examples of different types of projects eligible for grant funding.
