Opening: Sincere and Emotional: Stories of Connection

In the spirit of collaboration and creativity, this exhibit features objects of spiritual, cultural, and artistic resonance. Drawn from Archives and Special Collections at William H. Hannon Library and the Marymount Institute for Faith, Culture and Arts, items in this exhibition include books, manuscripts, poetry, correspondence, drawings, prints, sculpture, and much more. The opening will feature a conversation with members of the Marymount Institute and Tsehai Publishers on how collaboration fosters creativity and innovative thinking.

The panel will include Michael Berg, professor of mathematics; Sara Martinez, graphic designer for the Marymount Institute; Will Pupa, clinical professor of art/art history and artist in residence at the Marymount Institute; Larry Tritle, emeritus professor of history; Gail Wronsky, professor of English; Karen Rapp, director of the Laband Art Gallery; Elias Wondimu, publisher and managing editor of the Marymount Institute Press, the Harriet Tubman Press, and Tsehai Publishers; and Theresia de Vroom, professor of English and director of the Marymount Institute for Faith, Culture and the Arts.

Exhibit curated by Nina Keen, graduate student in English; supervised by Cynthia Becht, head of archives and special collections at William H. Hannon Library; editorial assistance from Rachel Mullens ‘18, English major/dance minor.
