Racism and Trauma in the Modern Moment

LMU's Office of Intercultural Affairs invites the LMU community -- students, faculty and staff -- to attend a virtual forum, a space to acknowledge the trauma of systemic violence against African Americans. This conversation will be oriented towards students, and all community members negatively affected by the violence leading to the deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery, the most recent victims of a longstanding, ongoing, historical trauma.

Facilitators:

Professor of African American Studies

Megan Castillo '19

Graduate student and community organizer

Cheryl Grills, PhD

Professor of Psychology

Henry Ward

Senior Director, Ethnic and Intercultural Services
