Dear Students, Faculty, Staff, Alumni and Friends of LMU,

As a member of the LMU community, you are invited to attend a virtual weekly prayer service based on the Sunday scripture readings on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at 1:00 p.m..

We travel through time and salvation history living ever deeper into the Paschal Mystery with each turn of the earth.  As we venture into the Second Week of Advent, we wrap ourselves in the sacred nights that lie ahead as they continue to grow longer and longer before this part of the world once again slowly turns its face to the sun when we will again celebrate the promise of Christmas and the warmth of Spring that is certain to come.

We invite you to have your Advent Wreath close by as we will light the second candle at the beginning of our prayer service.

While we remain unable to be together to celebrate the Sunday Eucharist in Sacred Heart Chapel, we can continue to be together, united in prayer as we celebrate the Liturgy of the Word and offer the LMU Communitys prayers of petition.  The prayers of petition offered at this weekly prayer service are carried each and every Sunday to the Chapel of St. Ignatius in the LMU Jesuit Community where they are remembered at every Mass celebrated by the members of LMU’s Jesuit Community throughout the week.  We hope youll join us this coming Sunday at 1 p.m. To attend, register here:
