Loyola Immigrant Justice Clinic
invites you to a free screening!

This documentary film takes us into the lives and work of five members of an
informal support group comprised of Mexican-American, solo-practitioners in
Los Angeles. Through their perspectives, we see how changes in the interpretation
of the laws and in legal procedures directly affect the people they so passionately
advocate for by endangering their safety and prolonging family separation. After
several years in the trenches, even the most dedicated come to question
whether they can continue in this often heartbreaking line of work.

Following the screening, LIJC attorneys and students will join with filmmaker
Priscilla Gonzalez Sainz and lawyers involved the film for a discussion of the
realities of immigration law work during the past four years and perspectives on
the future.
