Loyola's Anti-Racism Center hosts Greenwood Is Still Burning – film screening and discussion. Now more than ever, justice for Greenwood!

Greenwood Is Still Burning, a film created by Lush Cosmetics and made in partnership with Justice For Greenwood, calls for repair and reparations for the survivors and descendants of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre. It sheds light on a painful story that has been untold for too long, entrenching an incorrect and incomplete history of the United States.

This documentary recounts the events of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre-the worst act of domestic terrorism in United States history-and the ongoing legacy of harm it caused. In the film, you hear directly from survivors and descendants of the massacre as well as community advocates on how over 100 years later the destruction of Greenwood continues to ripple through individuals, families and entire communities. To secure a brighter future, we must reckon with the whole truth of our history. This allows us to address the damage of white supremacy from its foundation and ultimately achieve freedom and equality for all.

Learn how you can help support the survivors and descendants of the Tulsa Race Massacre and help build a future free of injustice and inequality.
