Join AD for Equity & Inclusion Prof. Kathleen Kim and 3L Ashley Kim in conversation with Vivian Bang, acclaimed actress and filmmaker, whose work undertakes an intimate examination of what it means to be Asian American in the United States today, complicated by the intersecting dynamics of race, gender, sexuality, immigration and socioeconomic status.

They will address the rise in violence against Asian communities amid the COVID-19 pandemic, and contextualize this targeted discrimination alongside the pandemic's devastating social and public health consequences on Black, Latinx and Indigenous communities.

The second half of this program invites attendees to enage in facilitated group dialogue to express, listen to, and understand the concerns of our community members and discuss strategies to address them.
