Yogananda: The Life, the Legacy, The Lessons to Be Learned

Yogananda was called (by the LA Times) “the 20th Century’s first superstar guru,” and he remains the best-known and most beloved of all the Yoga masters who came here from India. Philip Goldberg, whose new biography fills the gaps in the iconic Autobiography of a Yogi, will describe how Yogananda skillfully adapted yogic teachings to American culture and set the stage for the Yoga explosion that began in the 1960s, long after his passing.  His highly consequential life contains important lessons for every student and teacher of Yoga.
